Responsibilities
- Develop and manage large-scale capital engineering projects for automation, IoT and continuous improvement solutions, ensuring alignment with long-term business goals and objectives.
- Lead the preparation of Capex documents, including cost estimates, project justifications, equipment layouts, and technical specifications, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Manage equipment installation and commissioning, including contractor supervision, safety compliance, and ensuring adherence to all environmental regulations and legislative requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) and increasing operational efficiency through the adoption of advanced technologies like AI, robotics, and digital twin models.
- Maintain strict financial control over capital projects, accurately forecasting expenditures, managing budgets, and ensuring fiduciary compliance throughout project execution.
- Develop the strategies and specific technologies to effectively deliver on the $100-150MM asset digitization program spanning the US & Canada
- Lead Transformational initiatives collaborating with cross-functional teams in alignment with long-term goals and objectives as it relates to the digitization and tracking of assets.
- Ensure global alignment to capture and implement best practices to drive sustainable and efficient operations across all regions.
- Lead team in the development of CapEx documents to include cost estimates and project justification.
- Maintain strict financial controls, managing capital budgets and accurately forecasting monthly spend.
Requirements
- 5-7 years Project Engineering or Project management for industrial projects implementation in a Global matrixed organization
- Material Handling and Automation experience in conveyance systems and robotics
- Experience leading a team of highly technical individuals
