About the role
- These services are critical to maintaining regulatory compliance, patient safety, and operational readiness within IHS healthcare facilities.
- Duties will encompass preventive maintenance, emergency repair, installation, and documentation of work through the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Conduct routine repairs on refrigeration, air conditioning, heating systems under supervision of higher-graded staff.
Responsibilities

- The Maintenance Worker shall perform a full range of duties in plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical repair, and equipment maintenance.
- Perform general building maintenance tasks across multiple trades, including plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, and grounds work.
- Paint interior and exterior surfaces, patch drywall, and maintain finishes.
- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical lighting systems, including switches, relays, and ballasts.
- Maintain some grounds maintenance, including snow removal, facilities access paths, and equipment upkeep.
- Perform other duties related to maintenance and operations of facilities systems.
- General trade skills across painting, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC support.
Requirements
- Some evenings, nights, weekends or other non-standard duty hours may be required to meet operational needs.
- Qualifications The Maintenance Worker shall have a minimum of 3 years of experience at positions of similar context and complexity as this one.
- Applicants must be a U.S. Citizen to work in support of a federal agency.
