Responsibilities
- When production demand slows, you may assist with fabrication projects, equipment support, tooling improvements, or other operational and technical initiatives across the facility.
- work with engineering teams to improve manufacturability, reduce cycle time, minimize scrap, and support prototype and production needs
Requirements
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience operating a 5-axis CNC mill, or advanced 3-axis machining experience with demonstrated exposure to 5-axis concepts and setup
- Incumbent(s) in this position may be required to perform other duties and special assignments not specifically stated above.
Nice to have
- 5+ years of CNC machinist experience
- Background in semiconductor, aerospace, advanced manufacturing, or other high-precision industries
- NIMS machining certification
- Experience machining non-standard materials such as stainless steel, Inconel, oxygen-free copper, molybdenum, Teflon, or ceramics
- Experience with post-processing methods and surface treatments

- Machine setup: align, secure, and adjust cutting tools, fixtures, and raw materials into CNC machines
- Programming & operation: load, edit, or program instructions (G-code/M-code) to determine cutting paths, speeds, and feed rates
Skills
- 3+ years of experience as a CNC machinist in a precision manufacturing environment
- In-depth knowledge of CAD/CAM software packages; SolidWorks and CAMWorks preferred
- Experience working with tight tolerances and high-precision components
- Proficiency generating and interpreting mechanical drawings and engineering specifications
- This person will be responsible for setting up and operating a 5-axis CNC mill to fabricate precision parts.
