About the role

  • Under general supervision, assists provider including all back office duties.
  • Assists the RN with clinical clerical functions.
  • Ensures smooth work and patient flow within the clinic.

Responsibilities

  • Provides nursing support with various functions such as; invasive procedures, medication administration, performing appointment and registration scheduling functions.

Requirements

  • Accredited program of Licensed Practical Nursing with an active LPN license Required
  • Completion of a 160 hour Externship Required or
  • 6 months direct patient care experience in an outpatient setting Required
  • American Heart Association or American Red Cross Required
  • Participates in competency reviews as required by department.
  • BLS-Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) - AHA - American Heart Association or American Red Cross Required

Skills

  • Knowledge of medical office practice.
  • Knowledge of examination, diagnostic, and treatment room procedures.
  • Knowledge of and the ability to use medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care.
  • Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.
  • Skill in assisting in a variety of treatments as directed.
  • Skill in taking vital signs.
  • Skill in maintaining records and recording test results.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, employees, physicians and the public.
  • Ability to maintain quality control standards.
  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
  • Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures.
  • Ability to communicate clearly.

Compensation

  • Paid time off starting at 28 days per year, inclusive of vacation, personal/sick, and 7 Holidays
