Responsibilities

  • The Intellectual Property (IP) Coordinator provides operational, administrative, and paralegal support to the IP Team across the company's global patent, trademark, trade-secret, and copyright portfolios.
  • The IP Coordinator serves as a first point of contact for routine IP inquiries and outside-counsel correspondence, ensures that the IP portfolio management platform is well-maintained and continuously improved, and drives automation of repetitive workflows in line with the company's broader legal-technology and AI strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in paralegal studies, business administration, information management, or a related field
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with global patent and trademark docketing, prosecution workflows, renewals and annuities, recordals, chain of title, and outside-counsel coordination.
  • IP Operations Knowledge: Demonstrated hands-on experience with global patent and trademark docketing, prosecution workflows, renewals and annuities, recordals, chain of title, and outside-counsel coordination.

Nice to have

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in an IP paralegal, IP operations, or legal operations role, ideally in an in-house legal department or IP-focused law firm supporting a global portfolio.
  • Demonstrated day-to-day experience as a power user of an established IP portfolio management platform (e.g., FoundationIP, Anaqua, CPA Global/Clarivate IPMS, PatSnap, or comparable)
  • ability to administer, report, and continuously improve the platform is strongly preferred.
  • Occasional travel possible (up to 10%).
  • Paralegal certification, IP-specialist paralegal certification (e.g., NALA APC-IP), or equivalent professional credential.
