About the role

- This is Caterpillar Caterpillar's Law, Security & Public Policy Division (LSPP) is looking for a Paralegal to join a team of corporate and commercial paralegals.
- Successful candidates will be process driven and have an interest in gaining experience across a broad range of legal functions.
Responsibilities
- Support projects and legal processes involving commercial transactions, procurement activities, contract review, and other legal risk management activities.
- Collaborate with attorneys, procurement professionals, and business partners to support efficient legal and commercial operations.
- Maintain repositories of legal documentation and procedures.
- Experience working with document management systems, contract lifecycle management tools, or other business technology platforms
- Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
- Document Management: Knowledge of document management; ability to categorize, integrate, update, document and distribute business information in a secure, effective way.
Requirements
- The legal work will be under the direction of various attorneys but will require the ability to work independently.

- Knowledge of practices and policies governing disclosure of information about the organization, its business activities, and employees
- ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.

- Knowledge of effective self-management practices
- Knowledge of methods and tools used in legal analysis
- ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from both legal and factual information.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Strong organization skills;
- Experience supporting commercial transactions, procurement activities, contract management, or other corporate legal risk functions preferred.
Compensation
- $72,360.00 - $108,540.00
- Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
