About the role
- The Systems Engineer, MBSE responsibilities include improving the current IT infrastructure, optimizing business operations, and setting the direction and approach for integrating information applications and programs.

Responsibilities
- Apply model-based system engineering (MBSE) to define system functions and develop functional and performance requirements.
- Apply model-based system engineering (MBSE) to develop architectural views using DoDAF/MODAF (UPDM) and Systems Modeling Language (SysML).
- Ensuring the efficiency, security, and support of the organization's goals.
- Determining and implementing build versus buy strategies, mentor personnel, and views of the overall business strategy.

Requirements
- Experience in DoDAF, SysML and UML modeling, simulation, and analysis
- Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience using Cameo Enterprise Architect
- Experience with MATLAB, STK, AFSIM, Simulink, Model Center, or other comparable modeling and simulation tools
- Experience in Cameo and SysML applications
- Hands-on experience with the Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF)
- Experience in modeling and graphic representations
- SECURITY CLEARANCE: Active Top Secret security clearance REQUIRED
- Architecture & Design using Cameo
- Rational Rhapsody, Sparx Enterprise Architect, or other comparable tools
- Proven experience in use of descriptive modeling for architecture solutions (e.g., building models and diagrams with Cameo EA)
- Solid understanding of Unified Architecture Framework (UAF)
- Excellent technical, analytical, and project management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good leadership and motivational skills
Nice to have
- Technical BA/BS (Engineering, Computer Science, Math, or Physics) or equivalent preferred but not required
