About the role

Americans for Prosperity (AFP) is the premier grassroots organization focused on advocating solutions to the country's greatest challenges.
The Arkansas State Director is the senior leader responsible for driving statewide public policy strategy, grassroots organizing, government affairs, and coalition engagement.
This role serves as the primary spokesperson and strategic leader for AFP-Arkansas, overseeing a high-performing team and advancing policy outcomes at the local, state, and federal levels.

Develop and execute a data-driven, long-term strategic plan to advance priority public policy initiatives and grassroots campaigns across the state.
Build and drive a legislative agenda, engaging with the Governor, state legislature, and federal delegation to influence policy outcomes
Hire, develop, and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and results-driven performance
Recruit, develop, and activate grassroots volunteers, activists, and community leaders to support advocacy campaigns and policy reform
Build and maintain strategic relationships with business leaders, policymakers, media, and nonprofit partners to expand influence and impact
Cultivate and steward donor relationships and philanthropic partnerships to support sustainable state operations
Partner with national teams and other state chapters on multi-state initiatives, policy campaigns, and strategic priorities
