Responsibilities
- Develop and implement data-driven communications strategies aligned with QTS's overall goals and objectives.
- Create and manage communications content across multiple channels, including press releases, media materials, website content, company statements, FAQs, and storytelling assets.
- Support the development of proactive narratives and "good news" stories at both national and local community levels.
- Execute communications plans that support go-to-community strategies, stakeholder engagement, and data center launches across key markets in the U.S. and Europe.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (marketing, development, public policy, community impact) to ensure consistent messaging and brand alignment.
- Support media relations activities, including responding to inquiries, coordinating interviews, and assisting with proactive outreach.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including community leaders, partners, media contacts, and internal teams.
- Support and attend events, announcements, and community engagements; develop communications materials highlighting corporate milestones and initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, English, or a related field
- 5-8 years of experience in communications, public relations, or community engagement.
Nice to have
- Experience in the technology, infrastructure, or data center industry.
- Experience supporting stakeholder or community engagement communications.
- Familiarity with media monitoring and PR tools (e.g., Cision or similar platforms).
- Experience advising stakeholders or leaders on messaging and communications approach.
