About the role
- Write, revise, or edit print or web content provided by campus and unit stakeholders and as needed by the University Advancement team.
- Events (20%) Plan and coordinate photo and video shoots with university videographer and photographer.
- Produce print materials for events including event programs, invitations RSVPs, posters, advertisements, and others as needed to promote College events and programs.
Responsibilities
- Campus (Internal) Communication (40%) Project management of printed materials including production, graphic design, copywriting, and distribution.
- Maintain and update current College and departmental websites.
- Create or coordinate digital assets such as video, images, and written content.
- Produce regular and special internal communications such as newsletters and student communications, create and distribute posters for events, and manage digital message boards.
- External Communication 35%) Develop, conceptualize, research, write, and edit promotional and task-based information for unit publications and web content within the strategic communication guidance from
- Collaborate with UNC communications, graphic designers, and web developers.
- Manage social media accounts and editorial calendar for regular posting on blogs, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, and others.
- Work with the creative team to develop and write scripts for advertising, marketing, and storytelling videos.
- Assist Enrollment Management with developing unit-specific messaging and marketing for prospective students and parents.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in performing or visual arts, marketing, communications, humanities or a related discipline.
- Two years work experience in a communications-related field.
