About the role

  • Through our Teens Make Health Happen program, we empower teens by encouraging them to become change agents within their families, schools, and neighborhoods.
  • Where You Fit In HealthCorps is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Program Monitoring & Evaluation Intern to join our team.
  • This internship provides an excellent opportunity for undergraduate or graduate students looking to gain hands-on experience in data management within a non-profit organization.

Responsibilities

  • Database & Systems Maintenance Perform data entry and updates in organizational databases and program tracking systems.
  • Support regular reviews of database records to maintain data integrity and completeness.
  • Support the team in identifying and resolving data discrepancies across systems.
  • Data Cleaning & Quality Assurance Clean, organize, and validate datasets across program tracking tools and databases to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Support the development and documentation of quality control processes for ongoing data collection.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting Support basic data analysis to surface insights that support program evaluation.
  • Documentation & SOPs Document data management processes and procedures for team reference.
  • Support the creation of user-friendly guides and resources for data entry and retrieval.
  • Collaboration & Teamwork Work closely with program and M&E staff to understand data needs and support ongoing evaluation efforts.

Requirements

  • Ability to commit 6-8 hours per week for the full academic year (August 2026 - June 2027).
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data cleaning and basic analysis.
  • ability to travel to program sites as needed.

Nice to have

  • Experience working with Microsoft Suite, including Excel, SharePoint, and other productivity tools.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools or basic reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail, especially in data entry, proofreading, and version tracking.
  • If local to area: ability to travel to program sites as needed.
