About the role

Responsibilities
- Lead the evolution of the company's Platform Engineering capabilities to enable faster, more secure, and more reliable software delivery.
- Drive modernization of build systems, developer tooling, CI/CD, release automation, and Software Factory capabilities.
- Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance while empowering engineers to own implementation details.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of Platform Engineers.
- Recruit, coach, and develop engineering talent.
- Own delivery of strategic Platform Engineering initiatives.
- Build strong partnerships across Development, Quality Development, Security, Technical Services, Managed Services, and Product teams.
- Champion Platform Engineering as a strategic partner that enables engineering productivity across the organization.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 6+ years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, or DevOps.
- 2+ years of engineering management experience.
- Experience with several of the following: cloud-native platforms, Kubernetes, CI/CD, build systems, developer tooling, automation, and Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience leading cross-functional technical initiatives from planning through delivery.
Nice to have
- Experience with DevSecOps practices and software supply chain security.
- Experience working with AI-powered engineering tools and agentic coding assistants (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Tabnine).
- Proven ability to evaluate and adopt emerging AI technologies that improve software delivery, platform operations, and developer productivity.
