About the role
- Green Dot Corporation is seeking for an experienced Senior Security Engineer with a strong focus on assessing Security Architecture with hands-on experience in performing security assessments and tests across on-premises and Azure cloud environments.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive security reviews of the infrastructure, performing manual security assessments, identifying vulnerabilities, and recommending appropriate mitigation strategies.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate network security posture throughout design, implementation, and deployment phases, ensuring alignment with enterprise security standards.
- Collaborate with application security architects to understand and integrate secure design principles into network infrastructure.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (IT, DevOps, Application Development, Enterprise Architecture) to uncover vulnerabilities and drive remediation efforts.
- Develop and enforce network security policies, standards, and best practices aligned with industry frameworks (e.g., NIST, CIS Benchmarks, OWASP).

Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in network security, including hands-on experience with on-premises and Azure cloud environments.
- Strong understanding of application security architecture and its integration with network security.
- Experience conducting manual and automated network security assessments, scanning and penetration testing.
- Familiarity with secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC) and DevSecOps practices.
- Knowledge of Azure security tools and services: Azure Firewall, Network Security Groups, Security Center/Defender, Key Vault, etc.
- Ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship**

Nice to have

Skills

Compensation
- The targeted full-time base salary for this position is $113,400 to $162,000 per year.
- The final compensation will be determined by a number of factors such as qualifications, expertise, and the candidate's geographical location.
