About the role

  • This role assists in all aspects of the team's sports medicine operations, including the prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of player injuries, while contributing to the overall physical and mental well-being of the athletes.
  • The ideal candidate is adaptable, proactive, and eager to grow within a high-performance environment-able to think quickly on their feet, communicate effectively, and contribute positively to the team's culture of care and excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Support player recovery and readiness through manual therapy, soft-tissue techniques, and other evidence-informed treatment approaches.
  • Behind-the-Scenes Access - experience match days, events, and club moments as an essential member of the team building Boston's professional women's soccer club from day one.

Requirements

  • Attend all required team training sessions, scrimmages, home games, and meetings as directed by the Head Athletic Trainer.

Nice to have

  • Masters degree preferred Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a certified Athletic Trainer working with competitive or professional athletes in a high-performance, fast-paced environment.
  • Soccer experience preferred.

Compensation

  • $75,000 - $80,000 About Boston Legacy FC Boston Legacy FC (the "Club") is Boston's professional women's soccer team, competing in the National Women's Soccer League since our inaugural 2026 season.

  • Working under the direction and supervision of the Head Athletic Trainer, the Assistant Athletic Trainer will help prepare and maintain the training room and field setup for daily training sessions, scrimmages, and home games, as well as provide on-field emergency care when needed.
  • The role requires delivering high-quality manual therapy and recovery interventions designed to maximize player availability, resilience, and performance across the season.
