Responsibilities

  • This role serves as a front-line presence at facility entrances, offering hospitality, guidance, and support while ensuring that basic safety procedures are followed.
  • Care and Safety Specialists contribute to a calm, respectful atmosphere by building rapport, supporting individuals in distress, and assisting in de-escalation using trauma-informed approaches.
  • Provide a consistent, friendly presence to support a positive and respectful environment.
  • Maintain awareness of the flow of individuals entering and exiting the facility and communicate observations that may support overall safety and operations.
  • Use trauma-informed communication and de-escalation techniques to support individuals who may be experiencing stress or distress.
  • Collaborate with clinical and operational staff to support a smooth and organized environment throughout the facility.
  • Maintain a tidy and welcoming front-desk area, ensuring materials, signage, and supplies are up to date.
  • Perform light facility-support tasks as needed, such as assisting with visitor badges, coordinating deliveries, or helping direct foot traffic.
  • Safely and effectively perform Safe Clinch patient restraint techniques, ensuring the safety and dignity of individuals and staff.
  • P erform other duties as assigned to support the mission of providing a safe, recovery-oriented environment.

Requirements

  • Attend trainings, maintain required certifications, and participate in safety/security drills.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be able to perform Safe Clinch patient restraint techniques in alignment with facility policies and training standards

Nice to have

  • Experience in customer service, hospitality, human services, or similar roles preferred

  • 401k company match after 6 months (50% of deferrals up to 6% of compensation)
