About the role
- This role ensures technicians and project teams have the materials, tools, equipment, and vehicles necessary to operate efficiently while maintaining a safe, organized, and cost-effective warehouse environment.
- The Warehouse Manager plays a critical role in supporting service, construction, and fabrication operations through strong inventory management, fleet oversight, vendor coordination, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Manage all warehouse inventory, including HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical, sheet metal, and construction materials.
- Establish and maintain inventory stocking levels based on historical usage and operational needs.
- Manage tool inventories, tracking systems, and accountability processes.
- Monitor obsolete, damaged, or slow-moving inventory and develop disposition plans.
Requirements
- 5+ years of warehouse, inventory, logistics, or operations management experience.
- Experience managing inventory systems and physical inventory controls.
- Experience coordinating vehicle fleets and vendor relationships.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Ability to operate forklifts and warehouse equipment (or obtain certification).
- Experience in commercial HVAC, refrigeration, construction, mechanical contracting, or industrial services.
- Experience with ERP, inventory management, CMMS, or fleet management software.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb throughout the workday.
- Ability to work in warehouse, shop, yard, and outdoor environments.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
- Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience.
- Supervisory or leadership experience.
Nice to have
- Coordinate material receiving, inspection, labeling, storage, and distribution.
- Ensure technicians and project teams have timely access to required parts and materials.
- Identify opportunities to reduce inventory carrying costs while maintaining service levels.
- Oversee company vehicle and fleet operations, including service vans, trucks, trailers, forklifts, and other equipment.
- Work with the Corporate fleet manager to make sure fleet records including registrations, licensing, inspections, warranties, and maintenance schedules are maintained
- Coordinate preventative maintenance and repairs with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure vehicles comply with company safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate fleet branding, GPS systems, and vehicle technology installations.
Compensation
