Requirements

  • Generally requires 1 to 3 years of hands-on safety training or field experience in commercial construction, rigging, or low-voltage electrical work.
  • A high school diploma paired with technical field training is common, though an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Safety management serves as an advantage.
  • Soft Skills: High energy, comfort speaking directly to groups of field workers, and proficiency use.
  • Must be able to walk, stand, stoop, twist, bend, and climb stairs or ladders for extended periods while navigating uneven, unpaved, or obstructed terrain.
  • Must be able to drive between job sites and access all areas of an active construction zone, including raised platforms, scaffolding, and confined spaces.

Nice to have

  • Active OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour certifications are typically mandatory.
  • First Aid/CPR, NFPA 70E (electrical safety), or a CHST credential are highly preferred.

Skills

  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Must be able to tolerate exposure to outdoor weather conditions, dust, and construction-related noise, vibrations, and odors.
