About the role
- The Information Technology Services Division (ITSD) oversees critical projects and technological initiatives within the NYPD.
- Notably, the ITSD has rolled out various advancements, such as equipping officers with cellular phones applications and digitizing department forms to improve efficiency.
- ITSD is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Computer Specialist (Software), IV.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test frameworks (UI and API) to accelerate regression testing and support Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Identify, document, and track software defects to resolution; Analyze root causes of defects and collaborate with developers to ensure timely fixes.
- Lead and execute various testing types, including Functional, Integration, Regression, System, API, Performance, and End-to-End (E2E) testing.
Requirements
- In compliance with Federal Law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire.
- A masters degree in computer science or a related computer field may be substituted for one year of the required experience in (1) or (2) above.
