About the role
- GENERAL PURPOSE AND SCOPE: The IT Project Coordinator plays a key role in managing and supporting IT projects by coordinating activities, managing resources, and facilitating communication among stakeholders. They work with the IT Project Manager, teams, vendors, and other departments to align projects with organizational goals, and are also responsible for
- overseeing the IT Change Request process and managing IT communications and presentations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain discretion and confidentiality in all areas pertaining to Austal USA IT systems.
- Manage project documentation including project requests, task lists, and status reports.
- Must excel in time management and organizational skills, demonstrating the ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple teams and projects.
- Manage project-related communications, ensuring transparency to stakeholders so they are informed of changes, risks, and issues.
- Assist in the preparation of training and support documentation activities.
- Prepare and retain up to date Master Service Agreement (MSA) documents.
Requirements
- 2+ years of Project Coordination/Management experience or equivalent capabilities.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, ensuring all required documents are up to date.
- Assist in the review and testing of IT solutions as required.
- Support the project team in ensuring that value is achieved by meeting required standards and deliverable specifications.
- High School diploma or equivalent + 5 + years of IT Project Management experience.
- Must possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills and demonstrate attention to detail
Nice to have
- Project Management Certification(s) is preferred (i.e., Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile Scrum Master, SAFe)
- Experience in Ship Manufacturing is preferred.
- Experience with DoD contractor is preferred.

- 18 years or older at time of application
- Able to provide proof of US Person status (permanent resident or citizen)
- No felony convictions of theft/deception or violent crimes within seven years from disposition date
- No felony convictions of drug crimes within three years from disposition date
- Willing to submit to a drug screen
- Willing to submit to a background check
