About the role

  • The Automation Shop Technician is responsible for assembling, wiring, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining automation equipment used in industrial applications.

Responsibilities

  • Build and test rental equipment to ensure proper operation before deployment.
  • Build and prepare equipment for customer purchase orders according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Perform routine shop maintenance, including cleaning, organizing work areas, and maintaining tools and equipment.
  • Complete daily shop tasks as assigned to support production schedules and customer deadlines.
  • This role supports both customer purchase orders and rental equipment while ensuring all products meet company quality and safety standards.
  • The technician works closely with the shop team to complete projects on schedule and maintain an organized, efficient work environment.

Requirements

  • Must be able to follow directions
  • Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment
  • Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem and to think in such a way as to produce a new concept or idea
  • Familiarity with mobile tools and applications

Nice to have

  • Assembly experience preferred
