About the role

  • Board of Directors Management & Governance
  • Serve as primary liaison between the CEO, executive leadership team, and Winrock's Board of Directors
  • Track board decisions and commitments, ensuring timely implementation and reporting

Responsibilities

  • The Manager, Leadership Operations, serves as a strategic support to the CEO and executive leadership team, with significant responsibility for coordination of Board of Directors' engagement and governance activities.
  • This role supports the CEO to facilitate the interface between the board and the organization while providing support to Winrock's executive team operations.
  • Coordinate and manage all aspects of Winrock board meetings, including agenda development, materials preparation and collection, logistics coordination, and follow-up actions
  • Coordinate, manage, and support the processes of Winrock's other boards (ERT and the Winrock Foundation)
  • Collaborate with the CEO, Board Chair, and Board Secretary to strengthen governance practices, recruit and onboard new members, and increase board effectiveness
  • Executive Support & Strategic Initiatives
  • Support the CEO in prioritization of tasks
  • Supervise Executive Operations Coordinator in providing administrative support to the CEO and executive team
  • Support Chief Strategy and Growth Officer in implementation and tracking progress of Winrock's 2026-2028 strategic plan
  • Provide coordination support for special events

Requirements

  • 5 years of progressive experience supporting executive leaders and teams, including at least 2 years working directly with Boards of Directors.
  • International development experience highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work across diverse cultures, demonstrating cultural sensitivity and diplomatic skills.
  • Ability to work proactively and prioritize on a day-to-day basis to resolve issues associated with a demanding international organization.
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, Communications, or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience as board liaison or governance professional in a complex, global organization.
  • High ethical standards and commitment to compliance.
  • Analytical problem-solving and attention to detail.
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality is essential.

Compensation

  • $85,000-110,000, depending on skills and relevant experience. Winrock offers competitive pay and an excellent benefits package.
