About the role
- The office of Enrollment and Student Advancement is looking for a technologically savvy individual to join the technology team (eTech) in supporting the graduate and undergraduate admissions systems and technology.
- The eTech team operates on a hybrid office schedule which requires days in the office as necessary for in-person meetings, and the rest of the time working remotely from home.
- This schedule will go into effect after a brief training period of full days in the office working alongside another member of the eTech team.
Responsibilities
- Acts as a primary contact for system functionality and support to internal University functional users and external system applicants, such as performing basic troubleshooting, statistical analysis, reporting, maintenance, research and upkeep using existing system functionality.
- Manages system data, including duplicate record mitigation, building and exporting queries for mailing lists and reporting statistics, system integrity maintenance, creating system reports, maintaining system records, and implementing new functionality.
- Creates and maintains events and forms using delivered system functionality.
- Creates and maintains mass email messages and campaigns using delivered system functionality and HTML, CSS, Liquid Markup coding as necessary.
- Interprets existing data and populates the database with new data from external sources. Maintains documentation on data models, data dictionaries, physical database configuration, and daily database maintenance functions.
- Performs other related work as needed.
- eTech is a group of friendly technology professionals and enthusiasts who act as the primary functional and technical support for multiple admissions systems at the University of Chicago.
Requirements

Skills
- Understanding of CRM systems, data, databases, and good data practice.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Access.
- Familiarity with HTML and CSS code.
- Proficient in Technolutions Slate Admissions System is a plus.
- Good communications skills.
- High level of accuracy.
- Comfortable creating and updating technical documentation.

Compensation
- $46,500.00 - $60,000.00 The included pay rate or range represents the University's good faith estimate of the possible compensation offer for this role at the time of posting.
