About the role

  • Total Number of Openings 1 Specialty Operations BU is accepting online applications for the position of Mechanical Technician through July 13th, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. CST.
  • This position is also responsible for ensuring the plant is maintained in a safe and clean condition.

Responsibilities

  • Perform corrective maintenance, adjustments, and emergency repairs,
  • Perform preventive maintenance, lubrication, overhaul, and upgrades of plant mechanical, rotating, and stationary equipment.
  • Perform predictive maintenance work.
  • Perform failure analysis, and suggest and implement improvements.
  • Learn new skills as needed to maintain the plant.
  • The purpose of this job is to be responsible for and assist with performing the maintenance of all equipment in the plant, identifying and ordering spare parts, working with contractors to maintain and upgrade the plant, and improving the reliability of the plant.

Requirements

  • Ability to use office equipment (computer, copy machine, calculator, etc.)
  • Awareness of new technical developments and ability to apply new knowledge to the processes in place.
  • Be available for daily work and overtime as required
  • Ability to lift and carry at least 75 lbs.

Nice to have

  • Centrifugal pump operation and maintenance
  • Millwright or mechanic training
  • Welding skills or Certification
  • CMRT (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician) or CMRP (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional)
  • Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing to provide technical expertise as required
  • Disciplined self-starter with good organizational skills
  • Demonstrate attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively analyze reports and communicate information to co-workers.

Compensation

  • The anticipated hourly wage for this position is USD 35.22.
