About the role

  • The specific duties and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Teach assigned HVAC courses using effective instructional strategies and hands-on laboratory experiences.
  • Promote student success through timely communication, mentoring, advising, and constructive feedback.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, assessments, and student progress in accordance with College policies.

Requirements

  • Minimum of four (4) years of documented work experience in the HVAC industry required.
  • Valid industry credential or licensure required, including one or more of the following:
  • EPA Section 608 Refrigerant Recovery Certification required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration, electrical controls, troubleshooting, safety procedures, and industry-standard tools and equipment.

Nice to have

  • Associate degree or a career certificate in HVAC, Industrial Technology, Engineering Technology, or a closely related field from an accredited institution is preferred.
  • Two (2) or more years of postsecondary teaching, workforce training, or apprenticeship instruction experience preferred.
  • Additional industry-recognized certifications such as OSHA 10-Hour Construction, Backflow Prevention, or advanced HVAC specializations preferred.
