Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and supervise the equipment maintenance team responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance on a variety of industrial equipment, including robots, welders, furnaces, lasers, multi-axis mills, lathes, VTLs, and more.
- Manage work requests, assign tasks to maintenance technicians, and ensure timely completion of work orders.
- Manage team performance, provide regular feedback and coaching, set near and long term goals, and conduct performance evaluations to support the professional growth and effectiveness of maintenance team members.
- We're working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion.
- This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3+ years' supervisory or team leadership experience in a maintenance or industrial environment.
- Minimum 6 years' hands-on experience in a multi-skilled maintenance role.
- Experience with VFDs, servo drives, HMI interfaces, and industrial instrumentation.
- Familiarity with NEC, NFPA 70E, and general electrical safety practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to foster teamwork and positive culture.

- Completion of secondary education (High School Diploma or GED) required.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic diagrams, and P&IDs.
- Strong self-motivation and organizational skills
- able to prioritize and manage multiple projects.

- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Nice to have
- Background in robotic systems, CNC equipment, and predictive maintenance technologies
- Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting (Studio 5000, TIA Portal, etc.).
- Fanuc, Haas, Siemens and Heidenhain controls experience
- Experience operating heavy lifting equipment such as overhead cranes and forklifts around flight critical hardware
- Experience with root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies.
- A.S. degree in relevant technical field (Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, or related technology) preferred.
Compensation
- Paid Time Off: Up to four (4) weeks per year based on weekly scheduled hours, and up to 14 company-paid holidays.
