About the role

  • Early Childhood Education teachers will work within the UW Oshkosh Head Start program, which is a federally funded, preschool program for low-income families.
  • School is in session September - May/early June, with additional August work hours for staff.
  • Head Start employees have the opportunity to work with 384 children and their families every school year.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains the safety and physical well-being of children in a designated classroom
  • Maintains and documents effective communication with internal and external stakeholders to relay pertinent information and provide updates of child activities per established guidelines and regulations
  • Each position works collaboratively to develop skills and practices to support school readiness for each child and to support our comprehensive services offered to each child and family.
  • Our program embraces the High/Scope curriculum, offers many professional development opportunities, and implements Pyramid Model and Conscious Discipline programs to support social/emotional development.

Compensation

  • Non-4K Teachers - $ 34,184.55 - $ 37,709.94
