About the role
- The successful candidate will work closely with construction teams, subcontractors, client representatives, and project stakeholders to help promote a strong safety culture across the project.
Responsibilities
- Maintain safety documentation including training records, certifications, inspections, audits, and incident reports
- Conduct site inspections and support audits to ensure compliance with project safety standards and regulatory requirements
- Support compliance with GTAA safety, training, and access requirements
- Liaise with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to support safe work practices across the project
- This role will support construction activities within active airport and operational environments where maintaining safety, operational continuity, and stakeholder coordination are critical.
Requirements
- Experience working on airport projects, active operational environments, or largescale aviation infrastructure projects is considered a strong asset
- Strong understanding of construction safety practices, site safety coordination, and regulatory requirements
- Experience supporting inspections, audits, incident investigations, and compliance tracking activities
- Experience supporting large infrastructure, transportation, industrial, or complex multi-stakeholder projects is considered an asset
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple teams and stakeholders
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume construction environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- experience with safety management systems is considered an asset
- Ability to work collaboratively with site teams, subcontractors, client representatives, and project stakeholders
- WORK CONDITIONS The position will be based at our office in Mississauga, Ontario, with visits to the Airport site as required.
- 2-5 years of experience in a health and safety role within airport, construction, infrastructure, or large-scale capital project environments
- Knowledge of Ontario health and safety legislation and industry safety standards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with safety management systems is considered an asset
- Post-secondary education in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field is considered an asset
