About the role

The MA works closely with patients, handling both front- and back-office functions in a fast-paced medical setting.
The Medical Assistant functions under the direction of the Nurse Supervisor and/or Practice/Office Manager.
of the role include gathering and recording vital signs and other pertinent patient information for the visit, preparing patients for exams, assisting during treatments, coordinating tests and follow-up care, and recording treatment in the medical record.

Partners with the patient and significant others and/or family (as appropriate); keeping the patient at ease in the office through a collaborative and communicative approach to all care rendered.
Maintains the safety needs of the patient at all times.
Teamwork and Collaboration Collaborates with providers, nurses, and clinical staff to uphold continuity and consistency of care.

All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.
May be required to support front office operations by assisting with check-in, check-out, scheduling, and other non-clinical functions.

Experience in the physician practice setting Preferred and Minimum 1 year Experience in the area or specialty the candidate is applying for

Must be able to work quickly and efficiently to assure patient comfort and satisfaction.
High Ability to read, write and speak English language; basic computer skills required.
High Must be organized and attentive to detail.
