About the role

- Essential Functions Sets up food service, kitchen, serving, or salad preparation areas, equipment, and utensils in accordance with established procedures and daily operational needs.
- Prepares work areas and equipment for daily operations and may operate cooking, baking, or other food service equipment as assigned and appropriately trained.
Responsibilities
- Works collaboratively with coworkers, supervisors, and other members of the Food and Nutrition Services team to support efficient daily operations.
- As a not-for-profit, we support patient care, research, teaching, and community service, striving to provide exceptional care.
- This role supports the daily operations of the Food and Nutrition Services department and helps ensure patients, visitors, and staff receive high-quality food and exceptional service in a safe, welcoming environment.
- Sets up and maintains hot and cold food service lines according to established procedures, including steam tables, ice cream, yogurt, and ice machines.
Requirements
- Checks and records food temperatures as required to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.
