About the role
- The Recreation Coordinator I provides recreation services, programs or instruction in one specialized or specific recreation area.
- Essential Functions: As defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act, this classification may include any of the following tasks, knowledge, skills, and other characteristics.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for other duties as assigned in support of the overall goals and functions of both the Human Resources Department and Pima County.
- Maintains Pima County property such as equipment, facilities, supplies
- Maintains records and prepares reports
Requirements
- 1,040 hours of experience in the specialized or specific recreation area
- May be required to collect money, prepare and make bank deposits or process payments utilizing registration software
Nice to have

- Minimum six (6) months teaching and/or conducting recreation programs, classes or workshops in a community/recreation center or senior living facility.
- Experience with/knowledge of planning and implementing special events.
- Experience with/knowledge of using recreation registration software or similar systems.
- Selection Procedure:
- Pima County Human Resources Department reserves the right to admit to the selection process only those candidates that meet the minimum qualifications.
- Candidates meeting the minimum qualifications may be further evaluated/scored against any advertised Preferred Qualifications.
Compensation
- $19.74 - $26.64 Per Hour
- Hiring Range is an estimate of where you can receive an offer. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, training, and internal equity.
- Pay Range is the entire compensation range for the position.
- Hiring Range: $19.74 - $23.19 Per Hour
