- The Category Associate conducts research and begins to understand how categories are internally organized and relate to the business.
Responsibilities
- Develop knowledge of supplier through mentoring.
- Develop supplier relationships management and engagement methodology.
- Develop an understanding of supply market trends.
- Work with engineering team to develop understanding of technical drawings/grammar and learn the language of the business/category.
- Develop project management skills to support project execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- Ability to travel 10-20%.
- Internship experience or previous experience in supply chain.
- Ability to effectively communicate.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where requirements are constantly changing.
- Experience and proficiency with various web-based software applications including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.
- Knowledge of data analytics tools and data analytics in a specific commodity/category.
- Category sourcing experience within the manufacturing industry.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional follow through and attention to detail.
- Strong time-management and prioritization skills, able to multi-task and prioritize competing requirements and meet deadlines.
- This role is primarily performed in a professional office environment with standard lighting, ventilation, and temperature-controlled settings.
- Duties are largely sedentary, requiring extended periods of sitting and using a computer and telephone.
- Visual acuity to operate a computer and read documents is required, along with auditory ability to participate in virtual and in-person meetings.
- Occasional movement within the office environment is necessary, including walking short distances, standing, or reaching for files.

Compensation
- $57,600.00 - $90,400.00
- The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations.
- Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
