About the role
- The Certified Medical Assistant is responsible for ensuring patients' wellbeing and providing a positive, supportive environment for patients and other staff while working in conjunction with physicians, advanced practitioners, front office, and clinical staff. Medical Assistants may also be required to assist or cover the front desk when necessary to
- expedite patient flow. The successful Medical Assistant will have strong communication skills and a dedication to customer service and patient care.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and organize all instruments, equipment, and supplies.
- Maintain clinical supplies and equipment and ensure proper storage of biohazards.
- Clean exam/procedure rooms, instruments, and equipment between patient visits to maintain infection control.
- Pursues activities with focus and drive, defines work in terms of success and can be counted on to meet goals.
Requirements
- Other reasonable duties as required by leadership, such as new models of care and new types of procedures, etc.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required.
- CPR Certification required.
- Must have recent experience with IV administration
- IV preparation and administration experience required.
Skills
- The successful Medical Assistant will have strong communication skills and a dedication to customer service and patient care.
Benefits

- Knowledge of essential computer software and a willingness to learn electronic medical records systems (EMR).
