Responsibilities

  • Lead the UI development for a scrum team
  • Contribute to the overall software development lifecycle including requirements gathering/analysis, design, development technologies, release/version control, testing, and deployment
  • Perform application testing of components, modifications, and overall systems

Requirements

  • The candidate must be able to demonstrate a proven track record of designing and writing excellent code and are encouraged to bring code samples for discussion.
  • An ideal candidate will have experience with high-performance, high-scale web applications, test-driven development, and web concepts such as JSON, HTTP, HTML, CSS3 and REST.
  • Experience with JavaScript
  • Experience with UI frameworks such as AngularJS
  • Experience unit testing JavaScript with testing frameworks such as Jasmine;
  • Technology: Experience with JavaScript

Nice to have

  • Minimum 5 years' experience of front-end development;
  • Knowledge of JavaScript including frameworks (Bootstrap, Backbone.js, Ember.js, Angular.js);
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Groovy and Python;
  • Fundamental understanding of web applications
  • Experience in and success with Agile software development methodologies, especially Scrum and eXtreme Programming (XP);
  • Experience utilizing continuous integration environments, continuous delivery and TDD (test driven development);
  • Experience with Service Oriented Architectures such as ReST and Web Services
  • Contributor to the Open Source Community preferred
