About the role

  • The Project Manager, Healthcare Commercial Construction is responsible for leading assigned healthcare construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to CPPI's quality standards.
  • This role serves as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams, driving collaboration and resolving challenges throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and manages project timelines, budgets, and schedules to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Maintains knowledge of local, state, and federal building codes and regulations.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with team members, vendors, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Manages contractual documentation, including contracts, schedules, pay applications, and change orders.
  • Proactively identifies potential challenges and implements solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Oversees timely review and approval of submittals while identifying and managing long-lead items.
  • Manages the project closeout process, ensuring completion in an organized and timely manner.
  • Leads project meetings, reviews meeting minutes for accuracy, and ensures action items are resolved.
  • Supports project staff and superintendents through ongoing coordination and collaboration.
  • Monitors project schedules and implements corrective actions as needed.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, construction science, engineering, architecture, or related field from an accredited university.
  • 5 years as a construction manager or in a similar position in construction project management.
  • Experience in compiling and following strict budgets.

  • Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and experience with Project Management software preferred.

  • Coordinates project teams and facilitates communication among all stakeholders.
  • Reviews and processes owner and subcontractor change orders efficiently.
  • Prepares and executes subcontract agreements and owner contracts in a timely manner.
  • Oversees quality control program implementation and compliance.
  • Coordinates warranty efforts and manages post-occupancy issues.
  • Reviews and approves subcontractor and vendor invoices, including certified payroll requirements when applicable.
  • Manages ODP and LEED program requirements, when applicable.
  • Prepares owner payment applications and monitors payment processes.
  • Follows CPPI policies, procedures, best practices, and required project documentation standards.
  • Participates in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
  • Promotes a safe work environment and promptly reports safety concerns.
