About the role
- SWBC is seeking a motivated Security Intern to gain hands-on experience supporting a variety of security, risk, compliance, and resilience initiatives within a converged Security organization.
- Opportunities may include learning about cybersecurity technologies, identity and access management, security operations, physical security, business continuity, and resilience programs.
- This opportunity allows interns to gain practical experience across multiple security disciplines while contributing to meaningful business projects.
Responsibilities
- Support security assessments, audits, and client due diligence activities by gathering, organizing, and validating documentation and supporting evidence.
- Support documentation related to security controls, systems, applications, data protection, user access, and security processes.
- Collaborate with teams across Governance, Risk and Compliance, Identity and Access Management, Security Operations, Security Architecture, Business Continuity, and Security leadership.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented procedures.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- Coursework or experience in cybersecurity, information assurance, identity and access management, networking, systems administration, audit, compliance, or risk management.
- Familiarity with workflow and documentation platforms.
