About the role

  • Administer and configure Azure Synapse Analytics workspaces, Azure Databricks, Confluent Cloud including data integration and data warehousing components
  • Primary point of contact for Azure-based solution delivery

Responsibilities

  • Maintain Azure infrastructure to ensure high availability, scalability, and security. Adhering to operational excellence.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.

Requirements

  • In-depth Azure expertise
  • Experience with SQL, data modeling, and ETL processes.
  • Familiarity with security best practices and compliance requirement in enterprise cloud environment
  • Experience with DevSecOps paradigms (i.e., CI/CD, automated deployments, Kubernetes, containerization, etc…)
  • A positive, customer-first attitude
  • A demonstrated background in process improvement, automation, and support in a highly regulated, enterprise environment
  • Background working with and developing Infrastructure-as-code for cloud services, specifically using Terraform.
  • A passion for building cloud hosted solutions and ecosystems across multiple cloud providers

Skills

  • Platform Engineer, Azure / DevOps
  • Supporting existing DevSecOps tools and continuously refining our ecosystem to meet emergent customer needs.
  • Cross-training other team members on best practice, standards, and secure implementation of Azure tools and services
  • Strong understanding of Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, Confluent Cloud, Delta Lakes, Storage Access, and related technologies
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • 2+ years in architecture and/or cloud-native roles
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
