About the role

- This job works hand in hand with the specialty pharmacy team members, referring doctors, nursing staff, and care coordinators by completing prior authorizations on behalf of the prescriber.
- Works directly with patients to determine eligibility for medication and financial assistance programs.
Responsibilities
- Ability to maintain highly confidential and sensitive information.
- Maintains documentation relative to the job.
- Performs all job duties in accordance with company Specialty Pharmacy policies and accrediting bodies.
Requirements
- Other related duties as required.
- Required - High School diploma or equivalent
- 2 years experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- Required - Pharmacy Technician Certification in the state of practice
- Medication Therapy Management Certification (MTM) from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) must be obtained within 6 months of hire
- Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of patient information.
- Must be proficient with Windows-style applications and keyboard.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.
