Responsibilities

  • Techno is seeking a Construction Inspector to support a high-profile underground utility and infrastructure improvement project in the Baltimore area.
  • Document daily construction activities, site conditions, workforce, equipment, and quantities installed.
  • Identify, document, and communicate construction deficiencies or non-conforming work.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to support project progress.
  • Prepare detailed daily inspection reports and maintain accurate project documentation.
  • We deliver impactful water/wastewater, transportation, and public works projects for clients including NYCDDC, NYCDEP, and the Port Authority of NY & NJ.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of construction inspection experience on civil infrastructure, utility, water, wastewater, or sewer projects.
  • Experience inspecting underground utility installations, sewer mains, force mains, or pipeline construction.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA safety requirements and construction site safety practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital field reporting tools.

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.

Nice to have

  • Experience supporting municipal infrastructure projects for agencies such as the City of Baltimore, Baltimore City Department of Public Works, or similar public-sector clients is preferred.

Compensation

  • The anticipated compensation range for this position is between $35-$40/hr. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, education, certifications, skills, and work location.
