About the role
- Our team here is responsible for long-term energy efficiency and sustainability projects, primarily related to HVAC, HVAC controls, BAS, metering, MEP, electrical and utilities systems.
- We help modernize U.S. military installations, Department of Defense and other federal agency facilities to be smarter, more resilient, energy efficient, sustainable, and secure.
Responsibilities
- Manages the selection, scope of work, procurement, quality and payment of project materials, vendors and subcontractors.
- Develops project schedules and execute according to plan.
- Manage risk, establish project recovery plans, and resolve disputes to minimize escalation.
- Ensure project document controls and deliverables comply with contract requirements and Johnson Controls standards.
- Manages the selection, ordering, and delivery schedule of materials to be procured for the projects assigned.
Requirements
- Experience managing multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously.
- Strong experience with project scheduling and coordination for labor and materials.
- Must have the ability to communicate technical material to a non-technical audience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required government security clearances as needed. (This involves a background/character, criminal history, employment, and credit check.)
- Effectively communicates project progress, issues and financial status to leadership as required.
Nice to have
- Management experience with projects related to commercial or industrial size HVAC mechanical equipment (chillers, boilers, Air Handlers, VAV's, etc.) and related controls, BAS management, and/or Utility Metering Systems.
- Experience working with projects including large HVAC mechanical equipment (chillers, boilers, etc.).
- Estimating experience with MEP related projects
- Experience working with quality control / quality assurance documentation
- Experience reading and interpreting government contracts and government procurement standards.
- Experience managing multiple trades and subcontractors.
- Proficient in Project Management software and financial accounting systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project preferred.
Compensation
- $100,000 - $140,000 base salary plus bonus.
- Negotiable based on experience.

- Adheres to and ensures project personnel and subcontractors adhere to all safety standards, internal policies, and US Army Corps of Engineers requirements regarding health and safety.
- Eligible for benefits on first day of employment
- 3 weeks of paid vacation, 5 sick days, 3 floating holidays and 10 standard holidays per calendar year (6.5 weeks of paid time off in total)
