About the role
- Monitor and authorize base access; entrance and departures of employees and visitors.
- Respond to emergencies and crimes in progress, coordinate with local law enforcement, call fire department and report emergencies.
- Establish Cordons, Entry Control Points, Traffic Control Points, use the Incident Command System

- Drive between locations.
Requirements
- Must be able to perform shift work.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid state driver's license and be qualified to operate a vehicle under the conditions of Calista's Driving Policy.
- Ability to pass contract required medical exam, physical exertion test, and operate a firearm with the required level of accuracy.
- Must pass drug and background screening.
- Preference will be given to Calista shareholders and their descendants and to spouses of Calista shareholders, and to shareholders of other corporations created pursuant to the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act, in accordance with Title 43 U.S. Code 1626(g).

- Ability to safely carry and operate a firearm and pepper spray.
- Ability to enter data accurately into databases.

- Ability to collect data, discern facts, and draw valid conclusions from information received.
- Must be able to read and interpret Air Force Security Manuals and procedures.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff.
- Must be able to operate in a way that is ethical, responsible and professional.
- Ability to handle confidential information and not disclose it.
- Effective communication skills to effectively and clearly communicate complex information in high pressure, emergency situations to others.
- Ability to use general office equipment such as fax, phone, copier, etc.
