Responsibilities
- Take food service supplies (as needed) to patient rooms and outpatient clinics Deliver meals to patients' bedside.
- Maintains various records such as tray delivery/pick-up schedule.
- By finding common ground and embracing our differences, we grow stronger together and deliver more compassionate, person-centered care.
- Prepares work stations by stocking food and non-food items and equipment (as necessary) Work on assembly tray line stations and read tray tickets to provide correct food items Load trays on delivery carts Remove soiled serving trays from patient units, buses patient and customer serving trays Operate elevator to deliver and pick-up carts to patient care units and outpatient clinics.
Requirements
- Required Skills and Abilities: Ability to read, write and perform math calculations Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time - up to 100% of the work day.
Nice to have
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Possesses basic math skills Experience: Three to six months on the job training or previous experience preferred.
Skills
- Three to six months on the job training or previous experience preferred.
- Ability to lift and push up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail for up to 50% of work time.
- Interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with staff and other department personnel and patients.
- Frequent walking and standing.
- Must be able to work above the head and low to the ground.
- Occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing.
- Potential exposure to fumes, airborne particles, blood, bodily fluid, tissues.
