Responsibilities

  • Assist and lead terminal and warehouse inventory physical audits and completion of book to book and book to physical monthly reconciliations.
  • Provide support for external audits, government, and tax reporting.
  • Develop, recommend, and implement accounting practices to promote consistency, application of best practices, task automation, and efficiencies.
  • It allows the candidate to develop a solid foundation for increased responsibilities in the future.

Requirements

  • 5 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (with a minimum of 18 hours of accounting)
  • Advanced Excel proficiency
  • Strong understanding of inventory, intercompany and cost accounting
  • Detail oriented with ability to prioritize during close under time constraints
  • 1 - 5 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to maintain relationships in a hybrid work environment and supporting Controllers in various locations
  • SAP S/4HANA (FI, CO, PA, BW transactions)
  • Additional Desired Qualifications:
  • Excels in a flexible environment (role rotations every 12 - 18 months, hybrid schedule and overtime during month end close and peak times)
  • Exposure to system integration and reporting systems (IBM Cognos, Business Warehouse, SAP Analytics Cloud)
  • Collaborative and excel in a team environment
