About the role
- WORK SCHEDULE & HOURS: This is a site-based role supporting an active construction project with site hours anticipated to run 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday to Saturday (in line with City noise bylaws).
- Potential schedules include: • Tuesday to Saturday; or • 9:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities
- Develops and maintains strong, positive professional relationships with project stakeholders of all levels.
- Maintains current knowledge of HSE Program, Workers Compensation Act and Regulations, owner requirements, and industry safe work procedures and practices.
- Reviews Contractor safety documents to ensure that they align with Kindred Safety requirements.
- Works efficiently in teams and independently; maintains a positive, high-energy attitude.
- Maintain strong communication with the HSE Manager.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Safety Advisor or similar role (CSO, HSE).
- Strong knowledge of WorkSafeBC regulations and safety best practices.
- Knowledge of BCCSA COR requirements
- Must be able to travel between active project sites as operationally required.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Ability to work efficiently with minimal direction while leading by example
- Experience with Outlook, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint is required.
- Experience using Procore Management System is an asset.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts is required based on project needs.
- Additional support for other active project sites may be required.
