About the role
- Apply metal to customer orders and accurately process material according to the work order specifications using advanced machinery or having an advanced level of skill in the use of warehouse machinery.
- Ensure that processing equipment is maintained in a safe and clean condition.
- Pull, inspect and verify product before processing.
Responsibilities
- Maintain processing area in a clean, safe and orderly manner.
- Set up, operate, and maintain cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment.
- Maintain issued measurement equipment in working condition.
Requirements
- 1 to 2 years machine operation experience
- Ability to read and write
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs
- Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma / GED
- Perform basic math skills
- Use of handheld measuring tools
- Safety Mindset.
- Preferred Requirements:
- Previous warehouse experience - especially in the metals industry
- Previous forklift experience
- Computer literate
