About the role
- This position is for the 2026 academic year and will begin in late August 2026.
- Be on time and ready to work when scheduled and responsible as a key holder
- Monitor the Esports lounge while on duty
Responsibilities
- Support Esports student staff
- Provide the Esports coordinator support on daily operations, such as after-hours support
- Assist in updating and creating policies and procedures that will support staff and enhance the student experience
Requirements
- Must have graduated from a full-time Durham College program within 2 academic years (August 2024 or later)
- Knowledge of video games and gaming systems (Console and PC) including their connectivity and capability
- Knowledge of gaming console and PC troubleshooting is considered an asset
- Knowledge about streaming and stream setup is considered an asset
- Experience with content creation is considered an asset
- The ability to multitask
- The ability to work in a team and independently
- The ability to solve problems
- Knowledgeable about the DCSA and the Esports Lounge
- Knowledgeable about Discord and its functionality
- Effective communication skills
- Excellent communication skills
Compensation
- SALARY: $20.00 / hour
