About the role
- The shop carpenter job exists to cut and lay out plates for the wall panels, cut and lay sheathing, cut wood for the next person in the assembly, and assemble wall panels with efficiency, safety, quality, and good pace.
Responsibilities
- Maintain positive attitude
- Support/assist with welcoming and onboarding new team members
- Maintain and follow proper safety protocol
Requirements
- Wood working experience not required
- Shop carpenters must be able to operate a nail gun, effectively use a tape measure, manipulate large pieces of wood, and operate various saws.

Skills
- Basic math/fractional math
- Familiar with reading blueprints/drawings
- Familiar with power tools
- Familiar with safety equipment
- Familiar with OSHA practices
- Familiar with equipment/lifts
- Successful applications will need to purchase the following items, if not already owned:
- This role reports to Shop Foreman
- Flexible and adaptable

- Understand blueprints
- Fractional measurement/ Read a tape measure
