About the role

  • The Gift Processor Specialist is responsible for the accurate, timely, and compliant processing of philanthropic contributions to the Denver Health Foundation.
  • This role serves as a critical backbone to the donor experience, ensuring that all gifts are recorded, receipted, and steward in alignment with donor intent and organizational standards.
  • Generate and distribute accurate and timely gift receipts. (10%)

Responsibilities

  • Reconcile daily gift batches and support month-end and year-end close processes. (10%)
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives, including automation and standardization efforts; develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for gift processing functions. (10%)

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 4-6 years experience in gift processing, advancement operations, finance, or related field required,
  • 4-6 years experience working with donor databases/CRMs (e.g., Raiser's Edge, Salesforce, or similar) with preference given to Raiser's Edge experience, required.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of gift processing standards, donor intent, and basic nonprofit accounting principles
  • High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and solve process issues
  • Strong communication skills for both internal and donor-facing interactions

Compensation
