About the role
- The Gift Processor Specialist is responsible for the accurate, timely, and compliant processing of philanthropic contributions to the Denver Health Foundation.
- This role serves as a critical backbone to the donor experience, ensuring that all gifts are recorded, receipted, and steward in alignment with donor intent and organizational standards.
- Generate and distribute accurate and timely gift receipts. (10%)
Responsibilities
- Reconcile daily gift batches and support month-end and year-end close processes. (10%)
- Participate in process improvement initiatives, including automation and standardization efforts; develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for gift processing functions. (10%)
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 4-6 years experience in gift processing, advancement operations, finance, or related field required,
- 4-6 years experience working with donor databases/CRMs (e.g., Raiser's Edge, Salesforce, or similar) with preference given to Raiser's Edge experience, required.
Skills
- Strong understanding of gift processing standards, donor intent, and basic nonprofit accounting principles
- High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and solve process issues
- Strong communication skills for both internal and donor-facing interactions
