About the role
- These services are critical to maintaining regulatory compliance, patient safety, and operational readiness within IHS healthcare facilities.
- Duties will encompass preventive maintenance, emergency repair, installation, and documentation of work through the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Install, repair, and modify water supply and waste disposal systems.
Responsibilities

- The Maintenance Mechanic shall perform a full range of duties in plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical repair, and equipment maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records in CMMS and assist with inventory and procurement of materials.
- Perform other duties related to maintenance and operations of facilities systems.
- Ability to interpret building plans, blueprints, and apply trade mathematics.
Requirements
- Some evenings, nights, weekends or other non-standard duty hours may be required to meet operational needs.
- Qualifications The Maintenance Mechanic shall have a minimum of 3 years of experience at positions of similar context and complexity as this one.
- Applicants must be a U.S. Citizen to work in support of a federal agency.
