- The company's state-of-the-art Satellite fleet consists of 12 GEO satellites, the Canadian payload on ViaSat-1 and one LEO 3 demonstration satellite.

Responsibilities
- Review and approve shipments for export and ensure all export documents meet applicable legal requirements.
- Maintain and update the Export Control and Security SharePoint site and Shared Folders.
- Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors to develop creative and workable solutions.
Requirements
- and update and renew export permits as required.
- Maintain records and submit reports relating to exports as required by any government regulatory agencies (GAC, BIS, etc.).
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of the Canadian Export and Import Permits Act and the Defence Production Act.
- Must be attentive to detail and possess strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Strong writing skills required to convey information clearly, concisely and accurately.
- Must display a high degree of initiative, discretion, and integrity.
- High proficiency with MS Word, SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat Pro and other technical tools and applications
Nice to have
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.

- For more information, follow Telesat on X and LinkedIn or visit www.telesat.com The Export Compliance Coordinator supports the Senior Manager, Global Trade Compliance in managing the Company's business activities to comply with the Canadian Export and Import Permits Act, Defence Production Act, and Customs Act; the U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations and the Export Administration Regulations; and other applicable global trade compliance laws and regulations.
- This position also manages day-to-day export control activities to ensure the Company's exports of hardware, software, and technical data meet all legal requirements.

- Able to effectively interact with employees, customers, and contractors.
