About the role
- Khan Academy is seeking an experienced and versatile assessment content creator to serve as an Elementary ELA Content Creator on the Assessments team.
- This is a fixed-term position with an expected term of 24 months.
- As an assessment content creator, you will contribute to the development of new, innovative K-12 assessments.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the creation of K-12 assessments, leveraging your subject matter expertise to execute on blueprints to create high-quality assessment content
- Collaborate with teammates and cross-functional teams - product, design, and engineering -to create more engaging, interactive, and informative assessments for our students
- Proven cross-cultural competency skills demonstrating self-awareness, awareness of other, and the ability to adopt inclusive perspectives, attitudes, and behaviors to drive inclusion and belonging throughout the organization.
- A growth mindset that is curious and energized to innovate and create something new for our students.
Requirements
- Experience in grades 3-5 ELA assessment development.
- 2+ years classroom experience teaching elementary school ELA.
- Deep pedagogical expertise and expertise in state and national standards.
- Experience with collaborative work on time-sensitive projects.

- Candidates with significantly more experience may be considered for hire at the Senior level.

Compensation
- The compensation band for this role is $77,600 - $94,090 USD annually for candidates based in the United States and $$104,892 - $127,145 CAD annually for candidates based in Canada.
- The pay range for this position is a general guideline only.
